Day 1

Pick from Casablanca Airport – Welcome to beautiful Morocco

This guided tour begins with a pick up from the Casablanca airport. One of our expert drivers, guides will welcome you in the airport and drive you to your accommodation. After your rest, a visit to the Hassan II mosque will be the best idea to start your tour. The driver will take you around to visit this magnificent landmark which is the world’s third-largest mosque and features the world’s highest minaret (210m). You can also explore it as the mosques allow non-Muslims to enter.

In the evening, you can have dinner at Rick’s Cafe, which has been modeled to look like the bar made popular by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in the classic film Casablanca. It is one of the city’s greatest dining options. Bed and breakfast are included in your hotel stay.

Day 2

Head to the political capital of Morocco: Rabat

We will depart Casablanca after breakfast and head to Rabat, Morocco’s political capital. You can visit the 12th century Kasbah of Oudaias, which is located in the city’s oldest section. From its cliff-top balconies, the kasbah offers amazing panoramas of the ocean. You will walk through the peaceful pathways and whitewashed buildings constructed by Spanish migrants. The Kasbah’s main door is exquisitely covered with a number of carved arches. There is a restaurant inside the Kasbah so it can be a good spot for some traditional Moroccan food.

We will also visit the oldest mosque in Rabat, Mosque el-Atiqa, it was established in the 12th century and renovated in the 18th. As well as, several art galleries, Andalusian gardens, and a national jewelry museum with a remarkable collection of Roman and Islamic jewels from various parts of Morocco. Next, you will explore the Hassan Tower, Rabat’s most famous landmark. It was built by Sultan Yacoub El-Mansour who died before it was finished.

Day 3

Fes via Meknes, and the 2,000 year old Roman ruins of Volubilis

We will continue our journey toward the 2000-year-old and well-preserved Roman remains of Volubilis after a lunch break in a local restaurant. You will explore the vast complex, looking for the still-standing columns of ancient buildings, magnificent merchant mansions, temples, and beautiful mosaics, including the Labors of Hercules.

After a 30-minute trip, you will arrive in Meknes. Your local guide will take you on a tour of the attractions of Meknes, including the majestic Bab Mansour gate, the largest of all Moroccan imperial cities. The gate is in good condition, decorated with exquisite Zellij and engravings on the top. It was finished in 1732 by Sultan Moulay Ismail (the founder of Meknes).

You will also explore el-Hedim, the vast square next to Bab El-Mansour. It’s an idyllic spot to relax and watch the world pass by – children playing sports, snake charmers and traditional dancing. And later on, we drive to Fes.

Day 4

Fes guided tour, walking tour with local guide

We start the day with a walking tour of Fes with our local guide, Morocco’s spiritual capital and oldest city. We will admire its narrow alleys and traditional markets, cultural and historical sites such as the famous Al Karaouine University (the world’s oldest university) as well as the spiritual mosque that can host up to 20,000 people in prayer.

Another 14th century Fes monument is Medersa Bouanania. The greatest of Fes’s religious institutions. It was repaired a few years ago, and the results are stunning and worth contemplating.

Shortly after lunch in a local restaurant, we explore the Tanneries, among the city’s most popular attractions where leather is made we walk to the Royal Palace gate. You’ll take a walk through the Jewish neighborhood “the Mellah” and stop by the pottery cooperative. You will have free time in the afternoon to explore medieval Fes and mingle with the people. Bed and breakfast are included in your Riad.

Day 5

Drive towards Ben El-Ouidane via Ifrane, Azrou, Khenifra and Béni Mellal

After an excellent morning meal, we’ll head to Ben-El Ouidane, an Arabic word that translates as “between the rivers.” This location is famous for having one of the largest water dams in Morocco.

On our way, we will pass by Immouzer El Kander and Azrou, a Berber villages known for its growing handicraft cooperative. Our trip will continue through the green, forested landscapes of the mid-Atlas, enjoying views of stunning natural beauty. Along the way, we’ll pull over in charming atlas towns whenever necessary.

Bin El Ouidane, a small town in central Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, stands on the shores of Bin El Ouidane Lake, the country’s largest reservoir. This lake is a popular destination for fishers, as it is home to a variety of fish like carp. Apart from fishing, the lake hosts sports, such as swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, and exciting boat excursions. Overnight in your hotel includes bed and breakfast.

Day 6

Ben-El Ouidane to Marrakech via Ouzoud waterfalls

After an enjoyable breakfast at the luxurious hotel in Ben El Ouidane, we will travel through the magnificent Atlas Mountains to the spectacular Ouzoud waterfalls, where you’ll enjoy the natural beauty of one of Morocco’s stunning waterfalls. We will take on a brief exciting hike with a professional guide to get the most from the scenery around us.

Lunch break is recommended in a local restaurant, offering you a chance to taste the cuisine of the area.

We continue on our way to the red city of Marrakech, you may expect to arrive in the afternoon.

Day 7

Marrakech guided tour – Explore the best of Marrakech

After breakfast, your local guide will take you on a private tour of Marrakech’s most significant monuments, including the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque. Its 225-foot magnificent minaret and can be observed from almost every part of the city. You will also explore wonderful palaces, including the 19th century palace of El Bahia that exhibits Andalusian and Moorish architecture. It includes a trapezoidal garden, a large tiled courtyard, and several antique gems placed inside.

You will also explore the famous Saadian Tombs, which were built in the 16th century by the Saadian Sultan, Ahmed el Mansour. It features magnificent ceilings, wood carvings, exotic marble statues, and brilliant mosaic.

Next, we will visit the Koranic School. Medersa Ben Youssef, biggest Medersa in North Africa. This theological institution originally housed around 900 students for religious studies. It was constructed in the 16th century. It has gorgeous structures due to its Moroccan design, Moorish archways, rectangular courtyard, and exceptional mosaics.

In the afternoon, we will walk the Djemaa El-Fna, Marrakech’s main square and enjoy Snake charmers playing with hissing cobras, henna tattoo artists decorating hands of passers-by, musicians play, and dances. And finally head back to Riad for dinner.

Day 8

Free day in Marrakech

This is your free day to explore Marrakech on your own. You could try a hammam spa and massage or a cooking class with a Moroccan chef.

Your driver will be available by your side anytime you may need help.

Day 9


You driver will transfer you to the airport when your departure time is up. Your Morocco Imperial Cities Tour comes to an end with a hope in the heart for another visit.
